I have always been a dessert girl. Growing up, my dad would say that no matter how much you ate for dinner, you still had room for dessert in your “dessert pocket.” I think that’s true for me. I can never say no to a sweet treat. Combine that with one of my favorite adult beverages, and you have a winner!
I’m so excited to bring you another installment of The Rookie Housewife Cooking Series!! Meg from The Housewife in Training Files and I take turns picking ingredients, and then coming up with recipes using the specific ingredients. This month we chose blueberries and honey…
After our harsh and bitter winter, I am so very ready for summer. I’m ready for the pool, sunlight (I’m incredibly tired of being nearly transparent from the lack of sunlight), and barbecues. This Summer Fruit Bruschetta is the perfect treat!
One of my very favorite recipes from when I first started the blog has been Oven Baked Fajitas. Soooo good, so easy, so healthy. Only drawback…? Awful pictures. I still have a long way to go, but when I look at my early posts I totally cringe! When Celebrations.com asked me to come up with some unique Cinco De Mayo recipes, I knew I wanted to revamp my favorite recipe and take new pictures. I could eat these every week!
Strawberries are my very favorite sprint/summer treat. Strawberries on their own, strawberries in chocolate, strawberry bruschetta, strawberry basil cocktails, the list is endless! At the top of the list is strawberry shortcake. I think it’s the absolute best summer dessert. It’s perfect for any summer get-together, and especially perfect for a Memorial Day BBQ! I’m already starting to dream about BBQs. I can’t wait to make this for some guests on the new deck!
