French Dip Sandwich, or French Dip Au Jus, is a delicious and easy way to enjoy crockpot beef! We create a Beef Au Jus sandwich with tender beef, provolone cheese, toasty bread, and dipping sauce.
Place a beef roast in a prepared large slow cooker. Season with au jus and Italian seasoning.
Pour in the beef broth. Cover and cook for 6-8 hours.
Remove the beef and shred. Reserve the sauce that remains for dipping.
Place shredded beef inside each sliced hoagie bun and top with provolone cheese.
Wrap each sandwich in parchment or foil and warm in the oven for 10 minutes.
Serve warm with the reserved au jus sauce mixture for dipping. Enjoy for game day or any night of the year.
