French Onion Soup
Season roast beef slices with salt and pepper. Heat butter in a dutch oven and saute chopped onion and green pepper.
Add mushrooms and garlic and continue cooking until fragrant. Set aside.
Add the beef and brown, then set aside. Deglaze the pan with red wine and broth. Stir in French Onion Soup and Worcestershire Sauce.
Add the beef and veggies back to the soup and simmer. Cut and hollow out bread bowls and place on a baking sheet.
Brush the bread bowls with olive oil and bake in the oven until toasted and browned.
Stir heavy cream into the soup and warm. Ladle into bread bowls and top with provolone. Broil until the cheese has melted.
