  • Add the beef, onion, and taco seasoning to a skillet set over medium heat.
    1 pound ground beef, ½ onion, 3 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • Brown the ground beef.
  • Drain the grease from the skillet.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Spread half of the tortilla chips out on a large baking sheet.
    12 ounces tortilla chips
  • Spoon half of the ground beef over the chips.

  • Stir the refried beans, and spoon half of the can over the chips in dollops.
    16 ounces refried beans

  • Sprinkle half of the cheese over the top.
    3 cups freshly shredded cheddar cheese

  • Spread the remaining tortilla chips over top.
  • Top with the remaining ground beef, beans, and cheese.
  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Top with jalapeños, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, green onions, and cilantro.

  • Serve with sour cream and cilantro.

Notes

  • Drain the ground beef to avoid greasy nachos.
