every good turkey needs a great turkey gravy. this is a must for any complete thanksgiving meal. so easy and delicious. enjoy!

Ingredients

  • Pan Drippings fat skimmed off as much as possible from 12-14 lb Roasted Turkey
  • 1/4 c flour
  • 1/4 c chicken broth
  • 1/2 t beef granules opt.
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • other herbs opt.

Instructions

  • Place turkey pan drippings in a medium sized saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
  • Place 1/4 c flour in a small jar with a lid or bowl.
  • Pour 1/4 c chicken broth on top.
  • Whisk (or shake) the flour and broth until all lumps are gone.
  • Gradually pour the flour mixture, whisking vigorously until well combined and smooth.
  • Lower the temperature.
  • Add pepper and salt (taste before adding salt â?? chicken stock can be very salty).
  • Add other seasonings (opt.).
  • Simmer until the gravy is the consistency wanted â?? stir frequently.
  • *If the gravy thickens too much of if you want/need more gravy, add equal parts water and chicken stock. Again, taste the gravy often so it doesnâ??t get too salty.
