  • 1 cup local bbq sauce in STL we love Sugar Fire!

  • 8 slices deli American cheese from the deli counter
  • 1 cup french fried onion straws
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

Instructions

  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Add in the pulled pork and bbq sauce and toss to combine. Cook until just heated through and fully combined. Remove from the heat.
  • Layer 4 slices of Artesano Brioche Bread with the sliced American, onion straws, pulled pork, one more slice American, and bread. Spread the outside of both slices of bread with mayonnaise. SEE NOTE.
  • Heat another large nonstick skillet over medium low heat. Allow the skillet to get hot.
  • Toast sandwiches in batches, cooking undisturbed for 2-3 minutes per side until browned to your liking.
  • Serve with onion rings, French fries, or coleslaw. Enjoy!

Notes

NOTE: Don't overstuff your sandwich. We want to keep it relatively thin so that it all melts together well and stays intact when you flip.
