Ingredients

  • ground cinnamon for the rim
  • sugar for the rim
  • maple syrup for the rim
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 2 ounces El Mayor Tequila Blanco
  • 1/2 ounce cointreau or triple sec
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Instructions

  • Mix together cinnamon and sugar. Dip the rim of your glass in maple syrup and then in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Fill your glass with ice.
  • Mix together the apple cider, tequila, cointreau or triple sec, lime juice, and maple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Add a bit of ice.
  • Shake to combine, then strain into your rimmed glass.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • If you don't have a cocktail shaker, you can use a mason jar to shake everything together...with the lid on, of course!
  • Check that your cinnamon isn't stale by rubbing a little between your fingers, it should release a strong aroma.
  • Enjoy immediately so that the ice doesn't dilute the drink.
