Mix the cream cheese until smooth then add the onion powder and stir until combined.
4 ounces cream cheese, 1 teaspoon onion powder
Then add the sour cream and mayonnaise and stir to combine.
1 cup sour cream, ½ cup mayonnaise
Refrigerate for 30 minutes then serve with your favorite chips.
Notes
For a garlic dip, simply swap the onion powder for garlic powder.
Soften the cream cheese before using so it's easy to make smooth. I like to take mine out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before I plan to make this dip.

Storage: Store sour cream and onion dip in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Keep refrigerated and don't leave at room temperature for more than 2 hours.
