Hot Fudge is an absolute must for desserts! This homemade hot fudge recipe is so easy and chocolatey, the whole family will love it. There's just nothing quite like a bit of hot fudge sauce drizzled over ice cream for a simple weeknight dessert with the family. Chocolate-lovers, this is the recipe for you!

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 ounces milk chocolate buy the good kind, chopped
  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate again, the good stuff makes everything better, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a large saucepan combine cream, corn syrup, brown sugar, cocoa powder, salt, and half of the chocolate
  • bring to a gentle boil over medium heat. Stir continuously until the chocolate is melted.
  • Reduce heat to low and cook at gentle boil for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in butter, vanilla, and remaining chocolate.
  • Continue to stir until you're left with a smooth mixture.
  • Cool slightly before serving. it will thicken while it cools.
  • Store leftover fudge in a microwave safe glass container for up to a week.
