Air Fryer Salmon Bites

Quick and easy air fryer salmon bites are perfectly seasoned and finished with a sticky, Asian-inspired glaze. The sweet and savory marinade is made with pantry staples like soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, and garlic. Each bite offers a tender, flaky center surrounded by golden, caramelized edges, creating a juicy, flavor-packed bite that takes under 10 minutes to cook.

Ingredients

  • lbs salmon
  • cup soy sauce for gluten-free, use tamari or coconut aminos
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 inch piece of ginger minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • pinch of pepper
  • sesame seeds for garnish
  • sliced green onions for garnish
  • Sriracha mayonnaise for garnish

Instructions

  • Remove skin from salmon. Then, slice the salmon into 1-inch cubes.

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, onion powder, garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.

  • Add the salmon pieces to the bowl, and toss to coat in the marinade.
  • Marinate for 15 to 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Then, add the salmon in a single layer to the air fryer basket. Do this in batches if needed.
  • Air fry for 8-9 minutes at 400°F until the edges are crispy and caramelized.
  • Serve with rice, and top with sesame seeds, sliced green onions, and sriracha mayo.

Notes

  • Baked method: You can bake or pan-fry the salmon cubes, though cooking time and texture will vary.
  • For extra crunch/glaze: reserve a bit of unused marinade or make a simple extra glaze to brush on after cooking.
