Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp dried rosemary
  • 2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp pepper

Instructions

  • Add the ingredients to a bowl or jar and whisk to combine.
2 tbsp flour, 2 tsp salt, 2 tsp garlic powder, 2 tsp onion powder, 2 tsp dried rosemary, 2 tsp dried thyme, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp pepper
  • Use half of the seasoning mix for one batch of beef stew (about 2 pounds of meat).
  • Toss the seasoning in the stew meat, coating entirely.
  • Store the remaining seasoning in an airtight container.

Notes

  • The best cuts of meat to use with this seasoning are well-marbled options like chuck roast, pre-cut beef stew meat, or boneless short ribs. These cuts become tender and flavorful as they cook low and slow, and the seasoning blend adds a rich, savory base that complements them perfectly.
  • Make it gluten-free by using gluten-free flour or cornstarch.
  • Add heat by mixing in cayenne or chili flakes.
