Garlic Butter Steak Bites

Garlic butter steak bites are tender cubes of steak seared in a hot skillet until browned, then tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce. This easy recipe uses simple ingredients and comes together quickly, making it perfect for a weeknight dinner or a hearty appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs steak cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp salted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Pat the steak dry and season with salt and pepper.

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Add the steak to the pan in a single layer, spacing the pieces out so they don’t touch. Do this in batches if needed. Cook for 2-3 minutes without moving the pieces so they get a nice sear. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Give the bites a toss in the pan to ensure all sides are browned. Transfer the steak to a plate.

  • Turn the heat to low-medium and melt the butter in the same skillet. Add in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Take the pan off the heat.

  • Add the steak bites back to the pan and stir to combine with the garlic butter. Top with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Add red pepper flakes for heat. Sprinkle a pinch of red pepper flakes into the garlic butter if you like a little spicy kick with the rich buttery sauce.
  • Finish with grated Parmesan. A light sprinkle of freshly grated Parmesan over the steak bites adds a savory, salty finish that pairs nicely with the garlic butter.
  • Use steak seasoning instead of salt and pepper. Swap the salt and pepper for your favorite steak seasoning blend to add extra flavor with spices like garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
