Form 8, thin 4-inch wide patties. Place 4 on a work surface and top each with 4 quarters of cheese. Top them with the remaining 4 patties, pinching the edges to form a tight seal.
4 slices cheddar cheese
Preheat a cast iron skillet (or a grill) to medium heat. Cook burgers until well browned, 5-6 minutes on each side.
Serve with your favorite toppings on toasted hamburger buns.

Notes
Don't over mix the ground turkey with the seasonings. They should be just combined as over mixing can make the burgers tough.
Cook the burgers on a preheated grill or skillet. Don't add them to a cold surface or they won't cook through evenly.
These turkey burgers are made without breadcrumbs and are gluten-free.
