  • In a bowl, whisk all of the ingredients together until smooth.
    1½ cups mayonnaise, ¼ cup ketchup, 2 tablespoons rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, 1 tablespoon granulated sugar, ½ teaspoon ground paprika, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • Cover the bowl, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors develop.

Notes

Yield: This recipe yields 1¾ cups sauce. A serving is approximately 2 tablespoons.
  • For a less sweet sauce, swap the ketchup for tomato paste.
  • You can use apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar in place of rice vinegar.
  • For a dairy-free option, swap the butter for vegan butter or margarine.
