Peach Cobbler

A delicious peach cobbler recipe made with juicy, ripe peaches and a buttery, sweet cobbler that’s simply irresistible. The perfect dessert for any occasion!

Ingredients

For the Peaches

  • 6-7 large peaches about 900 grams, sliced
  • ½ cup granulated sugar 100 grams
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch 6 grams
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice 14 grams

For the Cobbler

  • 8 tablespoons salted butter 113 grams (1 stick)

  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ cup granulated sugar 100 grams
  • ½ cup brown sugar 107 grams
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¾ cup milk 170 grams
  • 2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 8 grams

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Wash the peaches well then slice them into wedges.

  • In a large bowl add the sliced peaches, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Gently stir the peaches together and set the bowl to the side. As they sit the sugar will start to bring out the juices from the peaches.

  • Now add the butter to a 9x13-inch baking dish and place the dish in the preheated oven to melt the butter.

  • While the butter is melting, prepare the batter. In a separate large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon until combined.

  • In a measuring cup stir together the milk and vanilla extract. Pour the milk into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Stir together to combine.

  • Now carefully remove the baking dish from the oven. Pour the batter evenly over the butter and do not stir.

  • Using a large spoon begin to place the peaches on top of the batter covering the entire baking dish. Make sure to get some of the juices released from the peaches as well.

  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown and the peaches are bubbling around the edges.

  • Remove the cobbler from the oven. Allow it to cool for about 5 minutes before serving. Serve with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
