Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray a 9x13-inch baking dish. Set aside.
In a small bowl, combine the chili powder, smoked paprika, salt, onion powder, and garlic powder.
1 teaspoon chili powder, ½ teaspoon ground smoked paprika, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
Rub each chicken breast with olive oil and seasoning to evenly coat.
1 tablespoon olive oil
Place the chicken on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the chicken with half of the BBQ sauce.
½ cup barbecue sauce, 1½-2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Bake for 20 minutes.
Flip the chicken over and brush with the remaining sauce.
Bake for another 15-20 minutes or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F. For crispy edges, broil the chicken for 1-2 additional minutes.
Remove the chicken from the oven, brush with more sauce if desired, and let rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
