Garlic Parmesan Fries Recipe

These Garlic Parmesan Fries come together so easily and irresistible. My loaded fries are crispy on the outside, tender in the middle, and totally addictive! You don’t need to make french fries from scratch, just use frozen fries, pop in the oven and topped with savory Parmesan and butter.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces frozen shoestring fries 1 bag, or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter ¼ stick
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic salt
  • teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper
  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese divided
  • 2 tablespoons fresh minced parsley

Instructions

  • Bake the fries according to package instructions.
    16 ounces frozen shoestring fries
  • While the fries are baking, melt the butter and garlic in a medium saucepan set over low heat.
    2 tablespoons unsalted butter, 1 clove garlic
  • Once the butter begins to gently simmer, cook the garlic until slightly toasted, about 90 seconds. Add in the garlic salt, pepper, cayenne, and 2 tablespoons of the Parmesan cheese. Heat just until the cheese is melted. Stir well to combine.
    ¼ teaspoon garlic salt, ⅛ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, 1 pinch ground cayenne pepper, ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Once the fries are crispy, remove from the oven and pour the butter mixture over the fries, tossing well to coat.
  • Transfer the fries to a serving platter and sprinkle them with the remaining Parmesan cheese and parsley. Serve immediately.
    2 tablespoons fresh minced parsley

Notes

  • To air fry, follow the instructions on the bag OR set air fryer to 400°F and fry for 20 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  • If you don't have garlic salt, you can make your own using a ratio of 3 parts kosher salt to 1 part garlic powder.
