Orange Bourbon Slush

This Orange Bourbon Slush cocktail is such a fun and easy drink recipe, perfect for Christmas but refreshing and tasty any time of year.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 6 oz. can frozen orange juice thawed
  • 6 oz. can frozen lemonade thawed
  • 6 cups water
  • 3 tsp instant tea
  • cups bourbon substitute rum for rum slush

Instructions

  • Dissolve the sugar in the warm water.
    1 cup sugar, 2 cups warm water
  • Add the remaining ingredients to the sugar mixture.
    6 oz. can frozen orange juice , 6 oz. can frozen lemonade , 6 cups water, 3 tsp instant tea, 1½ cups bourbon
  • Stir until thoroughly combined.
  • Place in a freezer-safe container and freeze overnight.
  • Take out about ½ hour before serving. Serve and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use your favorite brand of bourbon; any brand will work.
  • Prepare the slushie the day before you want to serve it.
  • Give the slushie about half an hour at room temperature before serving. 
  • Store in the freezer for up to 1 month.
