BLT Sandwich
Keep things classic and enjoy a homemade BLT Sandwich for lunch! Bacon, lettuce, and tomato served between two pieces of your favorite bread is always sure to hit the spot. Oh, and don't forget the mayo!

- 2 slices bacon
- 2 slices Texas toast or your favorite sliced bread
- 1-2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 piece green leaf lettuce
- 2 slices tomato
Add the bacon to a large skillet set over medium heat and let it cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until crispy.
Remove the bacon and let it drain on a paper towel lined plate then break the pieces in half.
Spread the mayonnaise onto both sides of the bread then add the lettuce, tomato and bacon to one slice of bread then add the other slice of bread on top.
Serve immediately.

- Sliced avocado or guacamole

- Roasted red peppers
- Cheese, such as cheddar, feta, provolone, muenster, or mozzarella
- Bacon jam in place of the bacon
- Fried green tomatoes in place of the tomato slices
- Garlic aioli, Buffalo sauce, walnut pesto, fry sauce, burger sauce, or ranch instead of the mayo
- For crisp bacon, use thin-cut bacon rather than thick.
- Let the bacon drain completely to avoid greasy sandwiches.
- Choose a hearty bread that can stand up to juicy tomatoes.
- Stir sauces or seasonings into the mayonnaise to change up the flavor.
- Choose a crunchy lettuce, such as green leaf, romaine, or iceberg.
- Use fresh, firm slicing tomatoes! If they're extra juicy, you can pat them dry.
