Ingredients

  • 2 slices bacon
  • 2 slices Texas toast* or your favorite sliced bread
  • 1-2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 piece green leaf lettuce
  • 2 slices tomato

Instructions

  • Add the bacon to a large skillet set over medium heat and let it cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until crispy.
    2 slices bacon
  • Remove the bacon and let it drain on a paper towel lined plate then break the pieces in half.
  • Spread the mayonnaise onto both sides of the bread then add the lettuce, tomato and bacon to one slice of bread then add the other slice of bread on top.
2 slices Texas toast*, 1-2 tbsp mayonnaise, 1 piece green leaf lettuce, 2 slices tomato
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

* If you’re using a nice, thick bread, you shouldn’t need to toast your BLT, but you absolutely can if you want to. If you’re using a thinner or more delicate bread, you may want to toast it so that it doesn’t get soggy too quickly.
