Heat the oil and garlic in a large skillet set over medium-high heat.
1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon minced garlic
Season the chicken on both sides with salt and pepper to taste.
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 6-8 minutes per side or until fully cooked through. Cook time will depend on how thinly you pound the chicken.
When chicken is cooked through, remove from the skillet and set aside.
Butter one side of each slice of bread (about ½ tablespoon per slice)
4 slices white sandwich bread, 2 tablespoons salted butter
Lay two slices of bread into the skillet, butter side down. Top each with 1 slice of cheese, 2 slices of ham, and another slice of cheese. Top with 1 chicken breast per slice of bread. Top the chicken with another slice of cheese, 2 more slices of ham, and the last slice of cheese. Place the remaining pieces of bread, butter side up, onto each to complete the sandwich.
8 slices baby Swiss cheese, 8 slices honey ham
Cover and cook for 2 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.
Flip each sandwich when the bottom side is toasted to your liking, and toast the other slice bread. Serve hot.
