Easy Garlic Cheese Bread - Texas Toast Garlic Bread

Garlic Cheese Bread is the perfect appetizer or side dish for pastas and soups! This Texas Toast Garlic Bread is nice and thick, and covered in butter, cheese, and garlic. It is exactly what you need for BBQ, pasta, steak, or soup!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise real
  • 4 cups shredded Cheddar Jack Cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1/4 cup parsley
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 1 tablespoon chunky garlic paste
  • 8 slices Texas Toast

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place parchment paper on a large baking sheet.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together the mayonnaise with the cheeses. Press down to combine and make smooth.

  • Once smooth, add in the parsley, seasoned salt, and pepper. Keep in the fridge while you continue prepping remaining ingredients.

  • Melt the butter in a small skillet over low heat. Add the Chunky Garlic Paste and stir to combine. Allow to saute for 2-3 minutes or until garlic is fragrant.

  • Lay the 8 slices of Texas Toast on the crisping rack/baking sheet. Brush liberally with the butter/garlic mixture on both sides.

  • Spoon the mayo/cheese mixture over each slice of bread and smooth out as much as possible.

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until bread is toasted and cheese is melty/bubbly. You can also broil for a few minutes to crisp things up even more.
    Sprinkle with more parsley if desired.

Notes

  • I highly recommend using thick cut bread slices.
  • Don't compromise on the butter, mayo and cheese. 
  • Closely watch while baking. Texas Toast bread is soft and can be burned easily.
