Taco Pizza Recipe

Taco Pizza is a family-friendly dish that combines the flavors of tacos and pizza. It is easy to make and can be customized with your favorite toppings.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. refried beans store-bought or homemade (1 can), black or pinto both work
  • 1 oz. taco seasoning store-bought or homemade (1 packet)
  • 8 oz. taco sauce store-bought or homemade, divided
  • 16 oz. pizza dough store-bought or homemade, room temperature
  • 3 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend Colby jack cheese, or mild cheddar cheese also work
  • ½ cup halved cherry tomatoes
  • ½ cup chopped green bell pepper
  • ¼ cup sliced olives
  • sliced green onions optional, for topping
  • fresh cilantro optional, for topping
  • sour cream optional, for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 500°F.
  • In a medium bowl, mix the refried beans, taco seasoning, and half of the taco sauce together.

  • On a floured surface, stretch and roll the dough into a 12-inch circle.

  • Spread the refried beans evenly over the dough.
  • Drizzle on the remaining taco sauce.
  • Top with ¾ of the cheese, tomatoes, bell pepper, and olives. Sprinkle on the remaining cheese.
    3 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend, ½ cup halved cherry tomatoes, ½ cup chopped green bell pepper, ¼ cup sliced olives
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the crust is brown.
  • Top with dollops of sour cream, green onions, and cilantro if desired. Slice and serve!
