- Cook beef in large skillet.
- Add oil, butter and carrots to the skillet. Cook while stirring.
- Add onions and cook until onions are translucent and carrots and onions have softened.
- Add seasonings and sauces.

Freshly baked cottage pie will keep for about 3 to 5 days in the fridge. Refrigerate covered with aluminum foil or plastic wrap.
