Honey Garlic Chicken Breast Recipe (Skillet)
Ingredients
- 2-3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- Kosher salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- ¼ cup chicken broth
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil divided
- 1 lime juiced
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- Cooked rice for serving
- Green onions chopped, for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Pat chicken dry, then cut in half horizontally, creating 2 pieces. Season chicken with salt and pepper.2-3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, Kosher salt, Black pepper
- In a small bowl, whisk together broth, honey, soy sauce, 2 teaspoons sesame oil, lime juice, and garlic. Set aside.¼ cup chicken broth, ¼ cup honey, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 2 tablespoons sesame oil, 1 lime, 4 cloves garlic
- Heat remaining sesame oil in a large skillet set over medium-high heat. Add chicken (in batches if necessary) and sear until golden, about 4 minutes. Flip, reduce heat to medium, and saute until cooked through to ~160 degrees F internally, flipping occasionally to prevent burning.
- Add the bowl of sauce ingredients, turn up the heat to medium-high, and simmer for 3-4 minutes, until the sauce reduces and chicken reaches 165 degrees F internally.
