I’ve always loved jalapeño poppers, so turning those same bold, cheesy flavors into a warm baked dip was an easy choice. This Jalapeño Popper Dip combines cream cheese, sour cream, Mexican cheese, green chiles, jalapeños, and Parmesan into a rich, creamy base that bakes up hot and bubbly, while a buttery panko topping adds the perfect crispy finish. The balance of creamy cheese, mild heat, and crunchy topping gives you everything you love about classic jalapeño poppers in an easy, scoopable appetizer that’s perfect for feeding a crowd. I love serving it on game day with chopped peppers, carrots, crackers, or tortilla chips for an easy appetizer that always disappears fast.
Tips for Beginners
- Let the cream cheese come to room temperature. I’ll take the cream cheese out of the fridge about 30 minutes before I want to prepare the dip. This way, it has time to soften so it blends easily.
- Increase the spice. For more of a kick, leave the seeds in the jalapenos or add a sprinkling of red pepper flakes.
- Grate your own cheese. Freshly grated cheese melts and tastes better than store-bought pre-grated cheese.

How to Store
I wrap uneaten dip in plastic wrap and store it in the fridge for 2-3 days. When I want to eat it again, I’ll throw it in the oven or put it in the microwave until it’s soft and gooey again.

Serving Suggestions
This jalapeño popper dip is perfect for game day when you’re having friends over! I serve it with freshly chopped red bell peppers, carrot sticks, and cucumber slices. Store-bought crackers and chips are great options, but when I have the time, I’ll whip up Mexican spice cheese crackers, prepare homemade garlic bread, or make crispy wonton chips.
