How to Make Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Pie Step by Step

Blend the Ice Cream: Take 1 quart of mint chocolate chip ice cream out of the freezer 15 minutes ahead of time, so that the ice cream is easier to work with. Use a hand mixer to blend 4 ounces of Cool Whip and the softened ice cream together until uniform.

Fill the Pie: Spread the mixture into a pre-made chocolate cookie pie crust. Smooth with a spatula or the plastic lid from the crust.

Top the Pie: Drizzle the pie with optional toppings like ¼ cup of hot fudge or caramel sauce and sprinkle with an optional ¼ cup of chopped nuts.

Chill and Serve: Cover with the crust lid and freeze for at least 2 hours. Cut and serve!

Store leftover mint chocolate chip ice cream pie tightly wrapped in the freezer for up to 1 month.

• ▢ 4 ounces Cool Whip 113 grams, thawed (½ standard container) – see note
• ▢ 1 chocolate cookie pie crust 170 grams

Toppings (optional)

• ▢ ¼ cup hot fudge 80 grams
• ▢ ¼ cup caramel sauce 80 grams
• ▢ ¼ cup chopped nuts 30 grams, optional (walnuts, pecans or pistachios)
