We are BIG fans of mozzarella cheese sticks around here but I don’t really want to be feeding Henry a bunch of fried foods. These are the best of both worlds. They’re easy to make, super flavorful, full of melty cheese, and baked to perfection!
It’s like a ham and cheese sandwich, wrapped up into an easy (and fun) to eat stick.

I think it was great! The kids loved it and it was simple and fast! Thank you!
try a different cheese mozzerella in my opinion does not go well with ham I used pepper jack
Add honey mustard and they are amazing!
I absolutely love these. I put mine in the air fryer on 350 for 7 minutes and they are soooo good!!!
We’re so happy to hear you love them, Shera! Thanks so much for sharing your air fryer results!
We’re sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy this recipe, Teagh!
We’re sorry you didn’t enjoy this recipe, Maria!
Mine turned out great! I wonder if it’s the type of mozzarella being used? Maybe some oilier than others? I want to try in air fryer next:)
I admit, I was a little nervous when I after I read the reviews but I had no problems with this recipe at all. I did use a smoked ham instead of the honey ham, and my only issue was I underestimated how many pieces were in the package so six of mine had two pieces and six had one! They baked up very nice. I may have bake them for a little bit longer than your recipe, one of them stuck and I was using tinfoil instead of parchment paper, but otherwise the rest of them all flipped over and crisp up nicely. They were crispy cheesy and they were eaten faster than I could take a photo!
How many calories are in one of them?
186 calories per stick!
Can’t really comment on the recipe as written. After reading all the comments, I used puff pastry to make the breadsticks. Used grated mozzarella instead of string cheese (felt that was way too much cheese). Egg washed the breadsticks and added sesame seeds. Got a two thumbs up from my granddaughter
Thanks for sharing what worked for you, Cathy!
So basically you made a different product/recipe altogether, but then rated the recipe that you did not make? That’s sketchy and unfair entirely.
