There is no fuss with this easy cornbread recipe; just cornbread mix, cheese, and garlic mixed together, dropped onto a baking sheet, and baked to perfection!
How to make Garlic Cheesy Cornbread Drop Biscuits:
- Combine shredded cheese, cornbread mix, and garlic powder in a bowl, then stir in milk.
- Take (heaping) tablespoon size portions and drop it onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush each biscuits with melted butter, parsley, and sea salt.
- Bake 13-15 minutes at 400°F.

Ingredients
- 3 cups cornbread mix premade/storebought
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2/3 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons butter melted
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- Sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Combine cornbread mix, cheese and garlic powder.
- Add milk and stir just until incorporated.
- Drop by heaping tablespoons onto prepared baking sheet.
- Brush biscuits with melted butter, dried parsley and a scant sprinkling of salt.
- Bake 13-15 minutes or until golden brown on the bottom.
- Remove from oven. Serve immediately or transfer to cooling rack until ready to serve.
- Enjoy!

Hi Sandy, I do believe this was addressed in a previous comment. You are not supposed to use any eggs in this recipe!

It’s per serving size, but you can make smaller biscuits if it’s too much!
I made these with jiffy cornbread mix, feel they are too sweet. any suggestions for what cornbread mix to use?
Oh no, I would avoid using any cornbread mix that is meant to be on the sweeter side!
I use Gladiola cornbread mix. No sugar in it. Trying this recipe out today!
