My Favorite Way to Host Taco Night

Taco Tuesday is my favorite night of the week. I love gathering family and friends around the table for a casual dinner centered on one of my favorite foods. Tacos are endlessly customizable, which is part of what makes them so much fun. From classic street tacos and cheesy baked tacos to seafood tacos loaded with fresh toppings, there are countless ways to make taco night your own.

One of my favorite ways to serve tacos is buffet-style. I set out a variety of tortillas, proteins, toppings, sauces, and sides, then let everyone build their perfect plate. To help inspire your next taco night, I’ve gathered some of my favorite taco recipes along with crowd-pleasing dips, quesos, sides, and even a few Mexican-inspired dinners for when you’re craving something a little different. I won’t hold it against you if enchiladas or nachos make an appearance on Taco Tuesday. Let these recipes, tips, and ideas inspire you, whether taco night is on Tuesday, Friday, or Sunday…because every night of the week is perfect for tacos!

My Favorite Taco Recipes

These are the taco recipes I come back to again and again. Some are classic, some are loaded with cheese, and some require a few extra steps, but every one of them is worth making for taco night.

Beer Battered Fish Tacos

Beer battered fish tacos are the only way I make these at home. Inspired by classic Baja-style fish tacos, the light, crispy batter works because the beer adds bubbles and alcohol while the baking powder adds lift, creating a delicate crust that keeps the fish perfectly flaky inside.

I made your taco seasoning per your recipe. It made 2/3 cup. You didn’t include how much to use per pound of ground meat. Normally, it’s 2 Tbsp./lb.
