Becky’s Tips

  • Small chicken breasts will need 2 pieces of bacon. Larger chicken breasts will need 3.
  • Use medium cut bacon for best results! Thick cut will not crisp up during the cooking time.

Why does chicken turn pink when cooked with bacon?

There is an ingredient in bacon called nitrites that helps to preserve it. This can turn chicken pink. If you’re not sure if your chicken is properly cooked, use an instant-read thermometer to check the internal temperature. It should be 165°F at the thickest point.

Should I bake bacon wrapped chicken covered or uncovered?

Cook this chicken uncovered so the bacon can crisp up in the oven!
