This is one of those all-time favorite cookie recipes. The original, which a friend gave me in 1990, is a beautiful, powder-sugared covered crinkle cookie. In fact, the original name of this recipe is Chocolate Crinkles and they are delicious. Two of my favorite things, cookies and brownies, wrapped up into one pretty and very yummy package. I renamed these Chocolate Doozies a couple of years ago when I had my own cookie company, and these soon became one of my best sellers. I have the best time creating variations of the original and here are this years creations. Have fun creating your very own and please share with Becky and me your wonderful ideas.
lots and lots of things to be thankful for this year. it has been one of the best and most exciting years of my life. i became an aunt, got a kitten, got a new job, what else, what else…oh yeah, got ENGAGED…so many good things. i’m so thankful for friends and family, our health, scouts shenanigans, and everything in between. i’m also thankful that i’m finally learning to cook! this was the first year i actually contributed to a holiday potluck. in the past i would have just bought something…or been ‘that girl’ and not brought anything at all. this year i brought TWO casseroles AND a dessert!! (recipes on the way, don’t worry)
i have a couple recipes to post over the weekend but i wanted to get this one up now, just in case you don’t know what to do with all those delicious leftovers!!! this was a shot in the dark…but its GOOD. really good. i’m too full to finish it, but i wish i could.
its very simple. put all of your leftovers onto a sandwich. then grill it. yep. somehow it all tastes good together.
this is my all-time favorite chicken. hands down. i would always request this chicken and my brother would always request hawaiian chicken (which i’ll make soon, don’t worry). i was scared to make it, because i was worried i would mess it up. NO MESSING THIS ONE UP. it is SO easy, and SO delicious. i’ve literally eaten the leftovers at work for 2 days now. i’m sad its about to be gone. but since its so easy to make i’ll just have to try it again :). Pat was skeptical, as always, but he loved it as well. he even ate it twice in one night as a late night snack.
